Ash Sun Llewellyn

Yin, Hatha and Restorative Instructor

Woman with braided hair wearing a brown top and green pants, smiling against a white background.
  • initially exploring it alongside my career as a dance teacher in my home country, Taiwan. My growing love for yoga eventually led me to pursue a deeper understanding and become a certified yoga instructor.

To achieve this dream, I relocated to Australia and studied Hatha Yoga intensively for two years under the esteemed Shanti Gowen on the Gold Coast. I feel fortunate to have learned from her, as she instilled invaluable principles that continue to guide my practice.

After completing my studies, I moved to Mackay to join my now-husband. Over the past five years, I have taught various styles of yoga at multiple studios, continually expanding my expertise through further training. This journey has nurtured a particular affection for Yin and Restorative Yoga.

Aligned with Tranquil Yoga’s mission, I am dedicated to ongoing education, studying under renowned mentors such as Jo Phee, Sarah Powers, Leslie Kaminoff, and Judith Lasater. My goal is to bring the highest benefits to everyone at our studio.

I earnestly believe in yoga's profound healing powers for both mind and body. My mission is to foster a thriving community that promotes happy, healthy relationships with ourselves and one another, extending well beyond the studio walls.

Ash Zerner

Yin Instructor

  • Meet Ash, a dedicated Yin yoga teacher at Yoga Fix Mackay, who has been a regular presence in the studio.

Ash is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with a deep passion for Yin, and we are fortunate to have him on board.

Ash's yoga journey began in 2009 when a close friend invited him to his first class. Initially, his practice was sporadic, but by late 2010, yoga became a consistent part of his life. In the early years, Ash focused primarily on Yin yoga, using it to balance his active lifestyle of running and triathlons. However, in 2014, he broadened his practice to include more power and occasional hot yoga sessions, while still maintaining his love for Yin.

Through his personal journey and teaching experience, Ash has developed a strong calling to share his love for Yin yoga with others. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Tranquil community, where he continues to inspire students with his practice and teachings.

Lynn Treis

Hatha, Meditation + Vinyasa Instructor

  • Meet Lynn.

In 2016, Lynn was hit by a car and lost all of her mobility. After three years of dedicated rehabilitation, she returned to the fitness world—stronger, fitter, and more determined to live life to the fullest. Her scars and physical niggles are now daily reminders to pause, return to her mat, and reconnect with her body and breath.

A setback with a knee injury led her to Yoga. As the saying goes, “You don’t find Yoga—Yoga finds you.” From the first moment Lynn sat on the mat, she felt something shift. A sense of stillness, calm, and wholeness washed over her—she knew then that Yoga was already within her.

Lynn completed her 200-Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2023, followed by a Meditation Course in 2024. She later travelled to Cairns to deepen her studies at Knoff Yoga, completing 45 hours of Discovery Training.

She thrives on community connection, and her creativity and passion for Yoga Nidra help keep her grounded. Lynn teaches Hatha and Power Yoga (Vinyasa), always weaving in a touch of playfulness, presence, and intention.

She looks forward to sharing her practice—blending movement, pranayama (breathwork), and meditation (mindfulness)—in a safe, supportive space where everyone is invited to explore their own journey inward.

“The greatest blessing Yoga has given me is a new way of seeing the world. It’s a beautiful practice that has helped me refine not only my body, but also my spirit and mindset.”

She learned how to use breathwork and meditation as a tool to work through physical pain and asanas to help build strength.

She has a love for Ashtanga Vinyasa and enjoys the balance yin can bring to a class, fitting right in to our Tranquil Studio vibe. Her teaching style focuses on restoring connection and balance back into the body and mind.
