  • Your attendance is very important to us and it is reserved especially for you. We realise there are many things that can come up preventing you from attending you booking.

While truly sympathetic, when a student cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another student from attending class. In fairness to all clients as well as to all teachers, this policy is in effect regardless of the reason for the cancellation.

Tranquil Yoga Mackay has a minimum 24 hour cancellation/rescheduling policy. If a booking is missed, cancelled or changed with less than 24 hours notice, there will be no refund given for that session.

Fitness passport members who book in but are absent from the class will have their Fitness Passport details manually added to the attendance register.

  • Tranquil Yoga Mackay has a strict cancellation policy around workshops. Cancelling or not showing up on the day of the workshop results in other students missing out and our guest facilitator losing income.

The following cancellations on workshops apply.
    - If cancelling 72 hours or more before the event we will refund 50% of the ticket cost back to you.
    - *If cancelling within the 72hour window there will be no refund.

Should you not be able to attend the workshop, you have the option to transfer your ticket to another person, OR donate the ticket to Tranquil Yoga Mackay to give away.

It's very hard to on-sell the cancelled ticket at such short notice.

  • During the slower Christmas period, the studio will close for 1-2 weeks. Memberships will continue to be paid regardless of this break. Our competitive pricing has been calculated to consider this short break. This also includes the use of a skeleton schedule of reduced classes during this time.

Adverse weather events, public holidays and teacher illness (which we can't get an immediate fill in teacher) will also result in a studio closure.

From time to time the class schedule and teachers will be amended and reflected on our website/social media.

  • There are no returns of any products purchased in store or online at Tranquil Yoga Mackay with one exception below.

All products are inspected as we stock the shelves so no damaged or faulty items are put up for sale.

On the very rare occasion there is a defect or fault, email photos, description and receipt to admin@tranquilyogamackay.com.au so we can take this up with our wholesalers.

  • Please do not come to the studio if you are feeling unwell or have sustained an injury. Please inform the studio of any underlying health issues or if you are taking any kind of medication that may affect your yoga practise.

We reserve the right to request medical clearance from your physician should your illness/injury dictate, prior to your return to the studio.

On the occasion of serious health concerns, we also request a support worker attend your class with you. Tranquil Yoga Mackay are NDIS facilitators and understand the importance a support worker offers.

Should your support worker not be able to attend the desired class, please reschedule your chosen class to allow your support worker to attend. The health and safety of our yoga teachers, and students are our top priority.

Tranquil Yoga Mackay, Waiver & Release Form

If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body and respect its limits on any given day. I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be eliminated. If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, discontinue the activity, and ask for support from the instructor. I will continue to breathe smoothly. I assume full responsibility for all damages, which may incur through participation. I understand that Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis, or treatment. Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions.

By purchasing a Tranquil Yoga Mackay membership or subscription, I affirm that a licensed physician has verified my good health and physical condition to participate in such a fitness program, if required. In addition, I will make the instructor aware of any medical conditions or physical limitations before class. If I am pregnant, become pregnant or I am post-natal or post-surgical, my purchase verifies that I have my physician’s approval to participate. I also affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to practice yoga and participation is at my own risk. I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or may have hereafter against Tranquil Yoga Mackay and all related facilities and premises for any personal injury or negligence.

Additionally, the facility, instructor and Tranquil Yoga Mackay are not in any way responsible for any loss or damage of your personal property. Those under 18 years of age must have this form signed by a parent or guardian. If any portion of this release from liability shall be deemed by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, then the remainder of this release from liability shall remain in full force and effect and the offending provision or provisions severed here from. I have carefully read and fully understand and agree to the above terms of this Liability Waiver Agreement. By booking anything with Tranquil Yoga Mackay I recognise that my booking serves as complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law and that it cannot be changed orally.

It is your responsibility to make us aware of:

  • Injuries/underlying health issues. You may also be asked to supply a clearance from your doctor to show Tranquil to continue your practise.

  • TYM are NDIS facilitators and should health concerns be present we strongly suggest a support worker be present in your Yoga/Pilates/Barre class. Should a support working not be available to attend your class with you, please let us know and we will reschedule your booking.

  • If you are pregnant.

  • Taking any medications that may affect your practice.

  • Anything you feel relevant that may affect your practice with us.
